Two Minutes with INDIGO'S 🧿
Indigo’s is a boutique jewellery and fashion store located in the centre of Albany. They specialise in fashion jewellery and accessories, bringing you silver and gemstone jewellery with a twist. We had a chat with store owner, Vivienne and asked her to tell us a little about the stylish jewellery and fashion store.
Indigo’s opened its doors in 2004 and is owned and operated by Vivienne Cann. Vivienne has always lived in Albany and opened Indigo’s to bring a unique style of jewellery and fashion to our town. The business has certainly evolved over the years and it only continues to grow.
Indigo’s is not your typical jewellery store. They offer a diverse range of jewels, gifts, clothes and handbags, as well as collectors’ items such as brooches by popular brand, Erstwilder. Vivienne hand picks all of the products sold in store and sources their stunning gemstone jewellery from longtime supplier, Made in Earth Creations.
Indigo’s understand the importance of that “feel good” vibe. From the stones, to the aromatherapy, Indigo’s is a nice place to be. Vivienne and her team work hard to make sure that your experience with them is as exciting as the jewellery and fashion they sell.
If you thought that this local boutique couldn’t get any better, you should probably know that they are online too! Indigo’s have an online store. They ship Australia-wide, making it easy for everyone to find the jewellery of their dreams.
For Indigo’s to sell their products via the internet and reach their maximum audience, they need a website. CheDesigns developed an e-commerce website for Indigo’s that facilitates their online sales and acts as a home base. Vivienne says that having the website and online store is beneficial for her business and enables them to sell more products.
One of the benefits of using a local web design agency such as CheDesigns, is that you don’t have to spend time trying to navigate web support and out-of-state call centres.
“It’s such a personal thing. When I need something, I can visualise that person on the end of the phone. It makes it a better relationship.”

Two Minutes with Workplace Safety & Solutions
Workplace Safety and Solutions recently went live with their new website, designed and supported by CheDesigns. We caught up with Lin Clark to find out who Workplace Safety and Solutions are, and what they do.
Workplace Safety and Solutions opened for business in July 2019 and is owned and operated by Albany local, Lin Clark. Lin has extensive knowledge and experience in workplace safety, having worked as a Roustabout, Ambulance Officer, First-aid Trainer and Environmental Manager for the world’s largest paper manufacturer.
Workplace Safety and Solutions aims to promote a safe working environment for local businesses and educate both employers and employees on the importance of Occupational Health and Safety. We all need a safe workplace but sometimes, it’s hard to know where to look or who to ask.
That’s where Workplace Safety and Solutions come in.
Lin can work with you to develop new safety systems for you and your business or, can even audit an existing one. Lin also offers general work health and safety advice to all of her clients and can help you navigate the codes of practice relevant to your work. At Workplace Safety and Solutions, they believe that everyone deserves to go home safe.
We asked Lin about her new website, and the potential she thinks it has to benefit her business.
Lin believes owning her own website can give her local exposure and publicity. Being online gives her business a greater presence and enhances its professionalism. Lin plans to develop workplace safety information and content for her website, so it can act as a resource for others interested in workplace safety. How great is that!

Its been great working with Rachel Weaver and the Forrest Personnel team.
As a community we need to focus on what people can do, not worry about what they can't do.CONGRATULATIONS to Rachel Weaver for undertaking work experience at Albany business CheDesigns. 👏👏👏
Rachel is one of many talented clients of disability employment service provider Forrest Personnel who took part in workABILITY Day today.
She struggles with anxiety, but wants to pursue a career in IT or web design, and says the placement has helped her.
“It was really good to get my foot in the door, so to speak,” Rachel said.
“Just to know what it’s like to see if I like doing it. It was a really good opportunity.”
CheDesigns owner Simon Davis said Rachel had made a good contribution to the team.
“As a business, we’ve derived real value in having Rachel here because she’s done real work for us,” he said.
“She’s built web pages for small business websites that are live on the internet right now, so that’s been a really great outcome."
Lynda Robinson, from Forrest Personnel, says businesses are missing out on a talented workforce.
“It’s not about barriers, it’s about the abilities that people do have,” she said.
“People have great experience and skills and it’s all about using that.” ... See MoreSee Less
